Matthew T. Evans, Ed.D.

Matthew Evans, Ed. D. currently serves as the Superintendent of Schools for Monticello Central School District, a role held since July 2020. Prior to this position, Matthew Evans was the Assistant Superintendent for Fallsburg Central School District from July 2006 to June 2020, and also served as Principal at Benjamin Cosor Elementary School within the same district from July 2004 to July 2006. Matthew Evans began a career in education as a Teacher at Fallsburg Jr.-Sr. High School from September 2001 to June 2004 and has experience as a Teacher (Leave Replacement) at Eldred Central School District from September 2000 to June 2001. Earlier, Matthew Evans taught at Heliopolis American International School from August 1998 to June 2000, holding the title of Teacher and Master of Discipline. In terms of education, Matthew Evans earned a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership, Administration, and Policy from Fordham University, along with a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration from SUNY New Paltz, a Master of Arts in the Teaching of Social Studies from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Hofstra University.
