Sam Knowles

Sam Knowles has a diverse work experience in various companies and industries. In 2014, they served as the Chair of Adminis, a company that provides investment accounting and administration services. Sam also held the position of Board Director at Rangatira Investments, an investment holding company, starting in 2011. In 2018, Sam became a Board Trustee at WWF New Zealand, the local office of the WWF International Network. Sam also served as the Chair of ON-Brand Partners, an international business partner focused on strategy integration. Sam was a Director at Montoux, a software company for the life insurance industry, starting in 2015. Sam acted as a Board Director at Umajin, a software innovation company, and Synlait, an innovative dairy processing company, both starting in 2011. Sam also held the role of Board Director at Magritek Ltd, an advanced technology company, and Trustpower, an electricity generator and retailer, starting in 2011 and 2007 respectively. Lastly, they served as a Board Director at Opus International Consultants Limited, a multi-disciplinary infrastructure consultancy, starting in 2016.

Sam Knowles attended The University of Waikato from 1972 to 1974, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physics. Later, from 1981 to 1982, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Natural Resources Management and Policy at the University of Canterbury.
