Katryne Parenteau, PMP, currently serves as Supervisor of Marine Work and Floating Equipment at Port de Montréal since June 2021. Katryne has a distinguished career in the maritime industry, recognized as the first woman in Canada, and possibly the world, to serve as an Ice Pilot in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, providing critical support to foreign vessels in icy conditions. With experience as a Navigation Coordinator at Petro Nav and roles including Maritime Consultant, Pollution and Safety Advisor, and Operations Manager, Katryne has demonstrated expertise in safety, environmental compliance, and project management. Academic qualifications include a Master of Maritime Management and a Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies.
