Pushaen Amitha Gunasinghe has extensive experience in the field of education, currently serving as a Special Education Math/Reading Intervention Teacher at Monument Academy Public Charter School since August 2016. Prior roles include 1st Grade Lead Teacher at Bridges Public Charter School and Special Education Teacher/Director at Washington Latin Public Charter School. Gunasinghe began as a Special Education Teacher/Coordinator at Hospitality High School and held the position of Aquatics Program Evaluation Manager for the Department of Parks and Recreation in the District of Columbia. Additionally, Gunasinghe worked as Aquatics Director/Lecturer at The City University of New York Baruch College.
