Matthew Overaker

Matthew Overaker, CMI, MBA, is an experienced tax and governmental affairs professional with a robust background in both public service and the private sector. Since July 2008, Matthew has served as the Tax Director at Monument Chemical, where significant contributions include the implementation of a tax payment system in Great Plains ERP. Previously, from 2008 to 2010, Matthew held the position of Governmental Affairs Manager at Haltermann Solutions™, acting as the primary liaison with governmental entities. Matthew's earlier roles include serving as the Legislative Affairs Director for the State of Illinois Office of the Treasurer from 2003 to 2008, where strategic relationships were established and the impacts of legislation were actively monitored, and as Chief of Intergovernmental Relations for the Illinois Department of Corrections from 1999 to 2003, overseeing operations of a large correctional system. Matthew holds an MBA in Global Energy from the University of Houston and a BA in Business Administration from Blackburn College.
