Barb Hespen

Barb Hespen DNP, RN is a seasoned nursing executive with extensive leadership experience in healthcare organizations. Currently serving as the Chief Nursing Officer and Market President at Monument Health since March 2022, Barb has previously held the position of Chief Nursing Officer at Sheridan Memorial Hospital from May 2018 to March 2022. Prior to that role, Barb was the Vice President of Patient Care and CNO at Avera St. Mary's Hospital from August 2013 to May 2018, and Director of Risk Management at Regional Health, Inc. from April 2011 to August 2013. Educated at American Sentinel College, where Barb earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nursing Administration, as well as at the University of South Dakota, where Barb obtained a Master of Science in Health/Health Care Administration/Management, Barb brings a strong academic foundation to their leadership roles.
