Anastasios Morfopoulos

Anastasios Morfopoulos has a diverse range of work experience spanning different companies and roles. Anastasios began their career as a Technical Advisor for Otenet at Teleperformance Greece in 2008. In the same year, they also served in the Hellenic Army as part of their mandatory national service.

In 2010, Anastasios worked as a Financial Software Developer at Bloomberg until 2012. Anastasios then transitioned to become a Contract Android Developer at Monitise from April 2012 to October 2012.

From 2013 to 2014, Anastasios held the role of Android Developer at Shazam Entertainment, where they focused on adapting the app to Android tablets and the latest OS versions.

Anastasios then joined Sky as a Contract Android Developer from December 2013 to May 2014. Here, they played a key role in defining the architecture for a new VoD offering and worked with various third-party libraries.

In 2014, Anastasios worked as a Contract Android Developer at Accedo.tv, gaining experience in working as a sole developer and collaborating with clients around the world. Anastasios also worked with mobile video libraries and Android TV platforms.

From 2015 to 2016, Anastasios worked as a Senior Android Developer on a contract basis at Aimia Inc. Anastasios contributed to a complete re-write of the Nectar app, introducing improved CI, a layered architecture, and various testing procedures.

Anastasios then joined JUST EAT in 2016 and served as a Senior Android Developer on a contract basis until June 2017. Anastasios shared their expertise across different feature teams, implemented UI testing infrastructure, and contributed to defining the app architecture.

Since July 2017, Anastasios has been associated with Monzo Bank, initially as a Senior Android Developer and currently as the Android Lead.

Anastasios Morfopoulos received their Master's degree in Technology Entrepreneurship from UCL in the years 2009-2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Greek Diploma in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patras during the years 2002-2008. In addition to their formal education, Morfopoulos also obtained a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster from the Scrum Alliance in July 2016.
