Kieran Macdonald Hall

Kieran Macdonald Hall has a diverse work experience across various companies and roles. Kieran is currently working at Monzo Bank as a Senior Engineering Manager, starting in April 2023. Prior to this, they were at Blockchain.com where they held multiple roles, including Director of Engineering from September 2022 to April 2023, Engineering Manager, Client Apps from April 2022 to October 2022, and Head of Mobile from May 2021 to April 2022.

Before joining Blockchain.com, Kieran worked at Wise Ltd. as the Mobile Engineering Lead at TransferWise from May 2017 to May 2021. Kieran also worked as a Senior Android Engineer at Wise Ltd. from October 2016 to May 2021. Additionally, they had a brief role as a Senior Android Engineer at Supe from May 2016 to September 2016, where they worked on a social content sharing application.

Earlier in their career, Kieran worked as a Senior Android Developer at busuu from January 2016 to March 2016. Kieran then joined JUST EAT as a Senior Android Developer from July 2013 to September 2013, before being promoted to Technical Team Lead - Android Consumer Apps from August 2013 to June 2015. Kieran later became a Technology Manager, leading the Next Generation Software and Hardware team from June 2015 to December 2015.

Kieran also has experience working at AKQA, starting as a Senior Software QA Engineer from October 2006 to July 2007. Kieran then worked as a Software Engineer from 2006 to 2008, and later became a Senior Android Software Engineer from January 2012 to July 2013. Kieran also had a role as a Technical Delivery Manager at AKQA from June 2008 to June 2012, where they managed campaigns for the Nike account.

Before their career in the technology industry, Kieran spent time travelling in South America from October 2005 to August 2006, where they learnt Spanish and explored the continent. Kieran began their professional career as a Software Engineer at IBM Tivoli Software, working on Java development for GUI Foundation software from 2003 to 2005.

Kieran Macdonald Hall studied at the University of Sussex from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a BSc 2:1 degree in Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence. Prior to that, they attended Acland Burghley School from 1991 to 1996. In terms of additional certifications, Kieran obtained the ISEB Software Testing certification from ISEB Ltd in July 2003.
