Neil Hamilton-Ritchie is an experienced designer with a diverse work history. Neil is currently working as a Senior Designer at Moon Creative Lab, where they are involved in product design, service design, brand design, design sprint facilitation, rapid prototyping, and user research and testing. Prior to this role, Neil was a Design Contractor and Senior Brand Designer at Rainforest QA, leading the rebranding effort and working closely with company founders to develop a unique brand strategy. Neil also worked as a Senior Communication Designer at Moneytree, where they contributed to brand design, set brand systems and guidelines, redesigned the company logo, and served as the lead designer for the corporate website. Neil has also worked as a UI/UX Designer at Atilika, helping improve the experience and usability of the Japanese language learning app. Before transitioning to design, Neil worked as a documentary photographer and as a graphic designer and photographer for The Wiggles. Throughout their career, Neil has gained experience working on various projects such as website design for high-profile clients and album design for music and DVD albums.
Neil Hamilton-Ritchie obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Design and Visual Communications, General from the University of Newcastle from 2006 to 2008. Neil also obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from the same university from 2005 to 2006. In 2020, Neil pursued further education in Business Design, completing a program at d.MBA. Additionally, they obtained several certifications including Design Sprint Masterclass from AJ&Smart in July 2022, Insights for Innovation and Storytelling for Influence from IDEO U in May 2020, and MBA for Designers from d.MBA in April 2020. In December 2009, Neil completed a Bachelor of Visual Communication and Design from the University of Newcastle.
