Ehsan Basafa

Ehsan Basafa has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2003 when they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Sharif University of Technology. Ehsan then worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) from 2006 to 2008. After that, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow and Graduate Research Assistant at The Johns Hopkins University from 2008 to 2013. From 2013 to 2018, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Clear Guide Medical. Ehsan then worked as a Staff Software Engineer, Robotics & Digital Solutions and Senior Software Engineer at Auris Health, Inc. from 2018 to 2021. Ehsan is currently a Staff Robotics Systems Engineer at Moon Surgical.

Ehsan Basafa received their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in 2005. Ehsan then obtained a Master of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the same university in 2008. In 2008, they also began a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at The Johns Hopkins University, which they completed in 2011. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University in 2013.
