Jeffery Alvarez

Jeffery Alvarez has a diverse and extensive work experience in the medical and healthcare industry. Jeffery is currently serving as the Board Director and Chief Strategy Officer at Moon Surgical since June 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Moon Surgical from January 2021 to June 2022, where they played a key role in delivering surgical empowerment through technology.

Before joining Moon Surgical, Jeffery worked at Truvian, LLC as a Partner from August 2016 to January 2021. At Truvian, they contributed to the development of smart sensors and artificial intelligence for predictive health.

Jeffery also had a stint at Potrero Medical, where they held positions as the Vice President of Product and later as the VP Product & Interim VP Operations. Jeffery contributed to the development of a predictive health platform using data-powered devices to guide treatment for critically ill patients.

As a co-founder and CTO at Naya Health, Jeffery played a crucial role in the development of smart and connected devices, focusing on a revolutionary breast pump. Jeffery was with Naya Health from September 2013 to August 2018.

Jeffery's career started at Auris Health, Inc, where they served as the Director of Product Development. Jeffery played a significant leadership role in the growth of the company, contributing to the development of a successful robotic platform for endolumenal procedures. Auris Health was later acquired by J&J for over $6 billion.

Prior to their roles at Auris Health, Jeffery worked as a Senior R&D Engineer at Spectranetics and Hansen Medical, where they contributed to the development of medical devices. Jeffery also has experience as a Mechanical Engineer at Hiemstra Product Development and Converge Medical, Inc.

Jeffery Alvarez completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Prior to that, they attended Northfield Mount Hermon from 2000 to 2001. Jeffery then pursued Semester at Sea at the University of Pittsburgh in 2004. Later, they earned an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, completing their studies from 2011 to 2014. Jeffery completed their high school education at Aragon High School between 1996 and 1999.
