Ali Aghareza

Ali Aghareza is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in the software and payment industries. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at MoonPay since August 2025, Ali co-founded Meso and held the position of Co-founder/CTO from March 2022 to July 2025. Prior to this, Ali spent six years at PayPal in various leadership roles including Senior Director Of Engineering focused on Braintree, where responsibilities encompassed payments and platform engineering. Earlier career experiences include software development at Braintree and a lead consultant role at ThoughtWorks, along with a software engineering position at Green Mountain Power. Ali Aghareza earned a B.S. in Computer Science from the University at Buffalo between 1998 and 2002.
