Katlyn Morahan founded Morahan Arts & Media (MAM) in response to the increasing need for performing arts organizations and individual artists to stand out in the crowded entertainment landscape and garner the traction needed to help their performances reach new audiences. Starting as a one-person agency focused on traditional PR efforts, the company quickly grew to encompass a full suite of marketing and communications services. During its six year history, the company has served over 85 performing arts-related clients including The New York Pops, the Times Square Alliance, Grammy Award winning choir The Crossing, the Dumbo Business Improvement District, Parsons Dance, Universal Music Group (Verve Label Group), Sphinx Organization, and more.
Prior to founding MAM, Katlyn worked in the public relations and marketing departments at Carnegie Hall, where she executed publicity efforts for leading orchestras, ensembles, vocalists and instrumentalists. Katlyn was also the second staff member to join the American Associates of the National Theatre, the U.S.-arm of London’s National Theatre, during a significant period in the organization's growth. She has had additional work experiences at NBC’s TODAY Show, Broadway public relations agency, Barlow-Hartman, financial services communications agency, Cognito, and the Delaware Theatre Company.
Katlyn holds a Masters degree in Performing Arts Administration from New York University, and undergraduate degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish from Syracuse University. When not marketing today's arts offerings, she is inspiring the next generation of dancers and dance enthusiasts as a children's dance educator.
