Carol Traupman-Carr

Provos at Moravian College

Carol Traupman-Carr ’86 serves her alma mater as provost of Moravian University and Moravian Theological Seminary, beginning her tenure on May 9, 2022. For the previous twenty years, Traupman-Carr has served as the associate chief academic officer, most recently as vice provost. Prior to moving into the administration, Dr. Traupman-Carr was a full-time faculty member in the music department. She still holds tenure and the rank of professor of music.

Moravian is in her blood. As a first-generation college student, she was the first in her family to graduate from Moravian College, but not the last. Other Moravian graduates in her family include her brother Michael (Class of 1988), cousin Lisa (Class of 1991), sister-in-law Lori (Class of 1987), husband David (Class of 2008 -- non-traditional learner), son Andrew (Class of 2019), and cousin Matt (Class of 2013). Her sister Kathy also attended as a post-baccalaureate student to earn teacher certification.
