Marcella Raines

Marcella Raines has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Marcella is currently serving as the Chief Advocacy and Community Engagement Officer at More Than Words since February 2019. Prior to this, they were the Director of Community Engagement at the same organization from July 2018 to February 2019.

Before joining More Than Words, Marcella worked at More Than Words Bookstore and Cafe as the Site Director from October 2011 to July 2018.

From April 2008 to June 2015, Marcella founded and worked at Huntress Business Ventures, LLC, where they specialized in generating real estate deals and conducting market analysis for single and multi-family residential projects. Marcella also had expertise in creative financing and obtaining funding for real estate transactions.

Marcella also has experience working at The Home for Little Wanderers as the Director of IL Services from December 1999 to July 2008. Additionally, they worked as a Real Estate Agent at Success Real Estate from February 2000 to May 2007.

Marcella Raines completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree in Counseling Psychology at West Chester University of Pennsylvania from 1988 to 1992. In addition, they obtained a certification in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the Institute for Nonprofit Practice in May 2023.
