Sophia Gutierrez is an experienced professional in recruitment and outreach, currently serving as the Recruitment and Outreach Manager and Program Coordinator for Scholar Advising at the Morehead-Cain Foundation since August 2019. Prior roles include Post-secondary Access Advisor at the Emily Krzyzewski Center, where guidance was provided to seniors, and College Candidacy Advisor, supporting FAFSA completion for 28 students. Earlier experience includes working as a College Adviser with the Carolina College Advising Corps at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, focusing on higher education planning, and serving as Excellence and Initiatives Coordinator in the UNC Diversity and Multicultural Affairs department. Sophia holds a Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is pursuing a Master of Public Administration at the same university.
