The discipline to master these tasks requires unswerving dedication—which Bert brings to every client, every day at Morgan Samuels as Chairman and CEO.

This tenacity isn’t necessarily the first thing you notice about Bert, however. It’s his passion for truly understanding people and their goals that sets him apart from his peers, a mentality that has allowed him to connect exceptional talent with the right positions, and bolster organizations across industries.

Having acquired a controlling interest in our company in 1997, Bert has championed Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, building a world-class infrastructure with an unparalleled quality of execution while continuously supporting his team and clients along the way.

Bert believes that there is always something new to learn—and is a self-described academic at heart. Bert holds a JD from Loyola Law School, an MS in Business Administration from Boston University, and a BS in Engineering with a concentration in International Relations from the United States Military Academy at West Point.

At home in Nashville, you’ll find Bert rolling up his sleeves to rebuild houses and coach his kids’ sports teams. To let off steam, he hits the slopes, the golf course, or a yoga mat. While a long-time member of YPO and board member of Heat Source Energy, Bert’s time serving his country continues to have a strong influence on his day-to-day: he enjoys mentoring young soldiers, too.
