Amir Smailbegovic

Amir Smailbegovic is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across prestigious institutions. Currently serving as COO at Morgan Stanley since March 2016, Amir has previously held significant positions including Senior Business Manager and Director at the Royal Bank of Scotland, Business Manager and Director at Daiwa Capital Markets Europe Ltd, and Hybrids Trader and Director at Mitsubishi UFJ Securities. Early career experience includes roles as an Investment Banking Analyst at The World Bank and a Postdoctoral Fellow at The School of Pharmacy, University of London. Amir holds a PhD and MSc from King's College London and a BSc from the University of Bristol, complemented by an International Baccalaureate from UWC Atlantic College.
