Daniel Barenholtz is an experienced tax professional with a strong background in international tax planning and compliance. Currently serving as the Head of Tax Planning Initiatives at Morgan Stanley from October 2021 to June 2025, Barenholtz also held the position of Head of US International Tax Planning, Provision and Compliance. Prior roles include Director of Cross Border and International Tax Counsel at Barclays, Senior International Tax Counsel at IBM, and International Tax Counsel at GE Capital, where tax planning for global operations was a key focus. Starting a career at Merrill Lynch, Barenholtz advanced to lead a global tax team and manage complex tax issues related to mergers and acquisitions. Barenholtz holds a JD from Columbia Law School and a BA in Computer Science from Yeshiva University.
