John Tyree

John Tyree has extensive experience in investment banking and relationship management, having served as Managing Director at Morgan Stanley from July 1994 to June 2024. In this role, John led the Relationship Management Group, focusing on business development for global law, consulting, and accounting firm clients. Additionally, John oversaw Equity Capital Markets activities in telecommunications, media, and consumer retail sectors, with notable IPOs including MmO2 and Nielsen. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, John held various roles, including Associate, Vice President, and Executive Director, providing banking coverage in the industrial and telecommunications sectors to major clients like British Telecom and Deutsche Telekom. Earlier in John’s career, service as a Captain in the US Army included patrolling the East German border. John holds an MBA in Finance from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and a BS in General Engineering and English Literature from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
