Maria Douvas Orme

Maria Douvas Orme is the Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, serving as the global co-head of legal coverage for the Fixed Income Division. They have been a Morgan Stanley representative on the New York Foreign Exchange Committee since 2017 and currently hold the position of Vice Chair. Maria was also a key figure on the Alternative Reference Rates Committee's Legal Committee from 2017 to 2023, which played a critical role in the transition from USD LIBOR. Prior to their time at Morgan Stanley, they worked as an Associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP and Stroock & Stroock & Lavan, and served as the Assistant General Counsel at AIG Trading Group. Maria holds a J.D. and a B.A. in Economics, both from Duke University.
