Peiran (Frank) Chen is an experienced quantitative strategist currently serving as a Vice President at Morgan Stanley since May 2021, focusing on the Treasury CIO Desk with expertise in RMBS, CMBS, ABS, Treasury, and Swaps. Prior to this role, Peiran worked as a Quantitative Associate at JPMorgan Chase & Co. from January 2020 to April 2021, specializing in acquisition credit risk. Peiran also contributed as a Research Associate at the Penn Wharton Budget Model from June 2016 to December 2019, working on a stochastic overlapping generation model, and served as a Research Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania from June 2015 to December 2019, focusing on asset pricing and macroeconomics. Early experience includes a summer internship in FICC risk modeling at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in 2014. Peiran holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics and Computational Science from the University of Pennsylvania, completed in 2019 and 2016, respectively.
