James Thomson

Director Of Regenerative Biology at Morgridge Institute for Research

James Thomson has extensive work experience in the field of regenerative biology. James served as the Director of Regenerative Biology at the Morgridge Institute for Research since July 2008. James also worked as a Professor at UC Santa Barbara starting in 2010 and at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1999.

James Thomson completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biophysics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1977 to 1981. James then pursued Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, earning their VMD from 1981 to 1985. James continued their education at the University of Pennsylvania and obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Biology from 1985 to 1988.
