Abimael Duran

Abimael Duran, MSA, CEP, currently serves as the Global Equity Plan Manager at Morningstar since January 2024. Previously, Duran held the position of Manager of Stock Based Compensation at Charge Enterprises Inc, overseeing the equity compensation program and financial reporting. Duran's experience also includes roles as Accounting Manager and Senior Analyst in Equity Compensation at Horizon and CNA Insurance respectively, where Duran managed equity compensation plans and mentored junior staff. Early career roles included positions at AMF International as Finance Officer/Manager and Andrew Corporation as Billing Specialist. Duran holds a Master of Science in Accounting from Governors State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance from Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México.
