Brandon Brooks

Brandon Brooks has a diverse work experience. Brandon started their career at Cook County Assessor's Office as a Counsel in 2012 and worked there until 2015. Brandon then moved to Cook County Government as a Counsel from 2015 to 2019. In 2019, they joined Morningstar as a Counsel and held various positions such as Associate General Counsel, Director of Global Privacy, and currently serves as Global Head of Privacy - Legal, overseeing privacy compliance and strategy for Morningstar's global businesses. Brandon is also the Chair of Morningstar Responsible AI Council.

Brandon Brooks attended Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology from 2008 to 2011, where they obtained a Juris Doctor degree in Law. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at the University of Minnesota from 2004 to 2006. Brandon also studied History and Political Science at Iowa State University from 2002 to 2004. In addition to their formal education, Brandon has obtained certifications related to information privacy from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
