Detlef Scholz

Detlef Scholz is the current President of Credit Ratings at Morningstar. Prior to this, they held the position of Managing Director at Moody's Investors Service from November 1993 to March 2015. In this role, they were responsible for ratings management, global head structured finance, and global head financial institutions. Detlef has also worked in the EMEA Structured Finance Group, the US Commercial Real Estate Group, and the Corporate Finance Group. In addition to their work at Moody's, they have also served as Geschäftsführer for Moody's Deutschland GmbH and Moody's Group Deutschland GmbH.

Detlef Scholz completed a licentiate in Rechnungs- und Finanzwesen at the University of St.Gallen.

Their manager is Kunal Kapoor, CEO. They work with Pat Maloney - General Counsel, Brock Johnson - President, Global Retirement and Workplace Solutions, and Bob Mann - President, Sustainalytics.
