Sean Dunlop

Sean Dunlop, CFA, serves as the Director of Equity Research for North American Financial Services at Morningstar since January 2020, overseeing a team of nine analysts and producing in-depth research across various financial sectors, including investment banking and asset management. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Equity Analyst, where Sean provided extensive coverage of major companies in the restaurant and retail sectors, and as an Associate Coordinator, focusing on training new equity research associates. Earlier positions held at Morningstar included Equity Analyst and Associate Equity Analyst, while other experiences comprise an Operations Intern at All Nations Sports Academy and roles at Wheaton College, including Teacher Assistant in Finance and Portfolio Manager for the Student Managed Investment Fund. Sean is currently pursuing an MBA at Indiana University - Kelley School of Business, expected to complete in 2026, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Business/Managerial Economics and Spanish from Wheaton College.
