Tyrone L. has been a key contributor at Morningstar since April 2009, holding multiple leadership roles in software engineering, including Director of Software Engineering for Data Collection and Institutional Products. In these positions, Tyrone successfully expanded teams and implemented structured hiring methodologies, led a significant transition of the data warehouse to Amazon Aurora, and created a Power Forecasting team for Amazon Cloud deployment. With a strong foundation in agile development and collaboration with product managers, Tyrone has also worked to streamline workflows and source essential data for product initiatives. Prior experience includes software development roles where Tyrone focused on web-based and database development, as well as an educational background in Computer Science from the University of Toronto.
