Massimiliano Paganelli is a distinguished medical professional and researcher in the field of pediatric hepatology and regenerative medicine. As Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Morphocell Technologies Inc. since March 2019, Massimiliano focuses on innovative cell therapy and tissue engineering to transform liver disease treatment. At CHU Sainte-Justine Research Centre, Massimiliano serves as Head of the Liver Tissue Engineering and Cell Therapy Lab, leading research on stem cell applications for liver diseases. In addition to this role, Massimiliano has been a Pediatric Hepatologist at CHU Sainte-Justine since December 2012, specializing in cholestasis, liver transplantation, and viral hepatitis. Massimiliano holds an Associate Professorship in Pediatrics at Université de Montréal and has a rich educational background, including a Doctor of Medicine from Sapienza Università di Roma and a Ph.D. from Université catholique de Louvain.

The Company is a spin-off of the Hepatology and Cell Therapy lab of Sainte-Justine University Hospital Center, in Montreal.
