Morris College
George P. Windley, Sr. is a native of Myrtle Beach, SC. He is the son of the late George and Annie Windley. He graduated from Whittemore High School in Conway, SC. He earned both B.A. and B.D. degrees from Morris College in Sumter, SC. He has received an Honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Morris College in Sumter, SC.
Windley has served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. He was the first African American Senior Chaplain with the South Carolina Department of Corrections. He has served as a pastor for several churches within South Carolina. Since 1978, he has served as the pastor of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in Manning, SC. Windley also serves the community in various capacities.
For 32 years, Windley has worked tirelessly with the Clarendon County Ministerial Alliance to promote healthy spiritual relations within the Clarendon community. His life motto is guided by Matthew 6:33, "But seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you." He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Morris College and Clarendon Health System. He is married to the former Linda Galloway and they are the humble parents of three children. They also have three grandchildren.

Morris College is an accredited, four-year, coeducational, residential, liberal arts and career-focused institution awarding baccalaureate degrees in the arts and sciences and in career-based professional fields. Founded in 1908, it is owned and operated by the Baptist Educational and Missionary Convention of South Carolina.
