Jaraya Johnson

Jaraya Johnson currently serves as the Director of Communications and Constituent Relations at Morris College since July 2023. Previously, Jaraya worked as a Lead Teacher at Audacy Creative Arts Preschool from March 2021 to April 2022 and as a Content Coordinator at King + Columbus from October 2019 to March 2021. Additional experience includes roles as a Substitute Teacher with Berkeley County School District, Editor In Chief and Lifestyle Editor at The Roddey McMillan Record, and an Intern at The Charlotte Post, where Jaraya contributed articles for the African American community in Charlotte, North Carolina. Early career highlights also feature positions as a Copyeditor at The Johnsonian, Writer at Odyssey, Blogger at Society19, and Opinion Editor at The Johnsonian. Jaraya holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Winthrop University, earned in 2019.
