John Terrell Brooks, IV

Terrell Brooks currently serves as Morris P. Hebert, Inc.’s General Manager. In this role, he is responsible for managing all company office operations to establish operational efficiencies, ensure company productivity, formulate/implement and enforce company policy and procedures relative to operations and safety, oversee internal communications between office and field teams, facilitate employee training and development, and drive sustainability with MPH corporate culture. As General Manager, Mr. Brooks will work with MPH’s leadership team developing strategic planning and resource management initiatives.

Mr. Brooks previously served as MPH’s Corporate Safety Manager for 22 years. In this role, he provided guidance and technical support to promote compliance with MPH’s safety management system, HSE standards, laws and regulations, industry standards, and customer requirements. He assisted MPH’s management team with improving performance through auditing, root cause analysis and identification of corrective and preventive action plans. He was also instrumental in developing and implementing fit-for purpose programs surrounding MPH’s services in addition to evaluating and monitoring business activities to develop new or implement existing systems, processes, procedures to minimize risk or mitigate hazards to employee health, safety, and the environment.

Mr. Brooks has 29 years of experience serving in various capacities within municipal government, production chemical distribution, and the oil and gas pipeline industry. His variety of experience includes supervisory and management oversight, HSE program development and implementation, loss prevention/risk management, regulatory compliance, claims management, drug and alcohol program management, employee development and training, and subcontractor evaluating and monitoring.

Mr. Brooks has Professional Registrations as an Occupational Health and Safety Technician and Construction Health and Safety Technician and is also a Certified Occupational Safety Specialist. He is a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals and is the past President of the Bayou Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals. He is also an Authorized Craft Instructor through the National Center for Construction Education and Research. During his years with MPH, he has guided company efforts in maintaining OSHA “S.H.A.R.P.” status for 17 consecutive years.

Mr. Brooks holds an A.S. in Petroleum Safety Technology from Nicholls State University.
