Usha Puri-Dewage

Usha Puri-Dewage has a diverse professional background with experience in learning and development roles in various prestigious organizations. Usha is currently serving as the Associate Director of Attorney Learning & Development - Europe at Morrison & Foerster LLP since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Cooley LLP as the Global Manager of Professional Development from March 2017 to February 2022.

Before joining Cooley LLP, Usha worked at Linklaters, where they held multiple roles including Learning and Development Manager from April 2014 to February 2017, Talent & Engagement Advisor from October 2013 to April 2014, and Professional Development Consultant from August 2011 to October 2013.

Their work experience also includes positions at Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, where they worked as the Learning and Development Manager from July 2009 to July 2011, Learning Specialist from October 2008 to July 2009, Business Manager from March 2008 to October 2008, Lead Operations Manager from August 2005 to March 2008, and Team Lead for Regulatory Complaints from October 2004 to July 2005.

Usha Puri-Dewage started their career as a Private Banker at Barclays Wealth and Investment Management from May 2003 to April 2004. Usha also served as a Visiting Research Fellow at The University of Trinidad and Tobago from May 2001 to April 2003.

Usha Puri-Dewage completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology at the University of Surrey from 1998 to 2001. Usha then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Anthropology and Sociology of Travel and Tourism at the same institution from 2001 to 2002. In 2016, they enrolled at Birkbeck, University of London, to study for a Master of Science degree in Organizational Behaviour, with a focus on organizational behavior, occupational ethics, research, and psychology.
