James Haggerty

James Haggerty has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. James currently works as a Senior Software Engineer at Morse Micro, starting their role in January 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Software Engineer at Grok Academy from November 2018 to January 2023.

Before their time at Grok Academy, James worked at Atlassian, where they held the position of Senior Developer from January 2016 to November 2018. James also worked as a Developer at Atlassian from January 2015 to January 2016.

James gained experience as a Research Assistant at the UNSW Centre for Ecosystem Science from August 2014 to December 2014. James'sresponsibilities included cleaning up an existing database and developing a new one using PostGIS. James also created a web frontend for data entry using AngularJS.

Prior to that, James held roles at Freelancer.com, serving as a Software Engineer Team Lead from February 2013 to June 2014, and as a Software Engineer from September 2012 to February 2013. James also worked as a Secondary Teacher at Ashfield Boys High School from February 2012 to July 2012.

Earlier in their career, James worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Sydney from November 2008 to July 2009. James also gained experience as a Programmer at Appen from January 2008 to October 2008.

James Haggerty pursued their education at the University of Sydney. James achieved a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science (Adv) degree from 2001 to 2006, majoring in Computer Science, English, and History. Later, in 2010-2011, they enrolled in the same university to pursue a Master of Teaching (M.Teach.) degree focused on English and Mathematics.
