Phi Bui

Phi Bui has a diverse work experience in software development and engineering. Phi started their career as a Web designer and Application Developer at GlobalAir.com in 2010, where they developed, built, and tested web applications using HTML/CSS, JavaScript, C#, ASP.net, and MS SQL. In 2011, they had an internship as a Web Application Developer at Global Aviation Navigator, where they built and tested new web applications and worked on existing applications using ASP.net, C#, MS SQL, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript. Phi continued their internship with Global Aviation Navigator in 2012, working as a Web Application Developer and Designer, focusing on front-end and back-end website development.

In 2013, Phi Bui joined Mortenson Dental Partners as a Software Engineer and.Net Developer, responsible for creating and developing new web applications using ASP.NET, C#, and VB. Phi advanced to the role of Senior Software Development Engineer in 2014, managing and supporting the software engineering team to deliver high-quality applications. Phi introduced groundbreaking developments such as web-based customer data entry applications and software that automated manual data entry functions, reducing payroll expenses.

Phi Bui returned to Global Aviation Navigator in 2013 for their third internship as a .NET Web Application Developer, where they were responsible for front-end and back-end website development. Phi then joined Sullivan College of Technology and Design in 2016 as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor, teaching Dynamic Web Development using Visual Basic. Finally, they rejoined Mortenson Dental Partners in 2015 as a Software Architect, focusing on quality assurance, human capital development, and product lifecycle management. Phi formulated, designed, and developed software solutions aligning with the organization's business requirements and architectural direction. Phi also refined application architecture for cost-effectiveness and optimal implementation technologies. Phi Bui obtained a Master's Degree in M. Eng. Computer Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) from the University of Louisville between 2013 and 2016. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2013, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Computer Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) from the same university. Before entering university, Phi Bui graduated from Eastern High School in 2008 with a High School Diploma in Computer Arts and Science.

In addition to their formal education, Phi Bui has acquired several certifications. In May 2022, they received certification in "Architecting Serverless Applications" from Amazon Web Services (AWS). In January 2021, they completed "Data Science for Business - Level 1" from IBM. Furthermore, in October 2016, Phi Bui obtained a certification in "Learn JavaScript Basics" from Udemy.
