Sharon Murphy has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Sharon started their career as a Clarinet Instructor at Clarinet Studio in 1992 and stayed there until 2013, teaching private clarinet lessons and organizing competitions. Sharon also worked as a Substitute Teacher with a focus on music education at Jefferson County Public Schools from 2012 to 2013.

In 2006, Sharon joined the University of Louisville Symphony Orchestra as a Clarinetist and performed with them until 2008. During this time, they also worked as a Web Designer for First Year Initiatives, where they created websites and sub-sites using Plone, Adobe Photoshop, HTML, JavaScript, and Dreamweaver.

Sharon then worked as a Secretary in the IT Division at the Department of Defense Education Activity (DODDS-Europe) from 2009 to 2010. Later, they took on the role of a Data Processing Assistant at Fetter Group from 2011 to 2012.

From 2013 to 2016, Sharon worked as a Digital Applications Developer at PriceWeber. In this role, they maintained .NET sites, implemented designs for different platforms, and provided technical documentation. Sharon also specialized in WordPress customization, using PHP, MySQL, jQuery, CSS, VB, and C#.

Sharon then worked as a Web Designer at CafePress Inc. for a short period in 2016 before joining Mortenson Dental Partners in 2017. At Mortenson Dental Partners, they initially worked as a UI Designer and later transitioned to a Web Developer role.

Throughout their career, Sharon has demonstrated their expertise in web development, design, and music education.

Sharon Murphy completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education at Ball State University from 1994 to 1998. Sharon then pursued their Master of Music degree in Clarinet Performance at the University of Louisville from 2006 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, Sharon obtained several certifications including the Google Analytics Individual Qualification from Google in June 2014, the Kentucky Teacher's License from the Kentucky Department of Education in July 2013, and the Indiana Professional Educator's License from the State of Indiana in May 2013.
