David Cherry

David Cherry, CEM, DES, currently serves as the Director of Event Operations at Lightsey Event Solutions, a minority-owned, woman-owned business with over 100 years of combined experience in the events industry. Cherry has held the position of Associate Director of Registration at the Mortgage Bankers Association since April 2020 and hosts the Say Amen! Podcast. As the Founder and Principal of f8thwalk Business Strategies, LLC, since January 2011, and Business Owner of DC Rum Cake Man, LLC, since November 2010, Cherry demonstrates a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Previous roles include Director of Operations and Conferences at NTP Events and Group Exercise Instructor at various fitness centers. Cherry's extensive experience in marketing and exhibits is reinforced by a decade of varied positions at the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. Cherry holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from West Virginia Wesleyan College.
