Walter Michel

Walter Michel is a Senior DevOps Engineer at Mortgage365. Walter has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on integration and cloud architecture.

Walter started their career in 1999 as an architect at BusinessEdge Solutions. Walter then spent seven years at WPC Healthcare, where they were responsible for the development of the Condition Awareness (CA) product. In April 2017, Walter was laid off from Intermedix, where they had been working as an integration and cloud architect for just over a year.

Walter has expertise in a range of technologies, including Microsoft BizTalk, SQL Server, Azure IaaS, Azure PaaS, EDI X12, HL7, Visual Studio, .NET, and C#. Walter has also worked with MuleSoft Anypoint and is familiar with XML, REST, and JSON.

Walter Michel studied computing science at the University of Calgary and earned a Bachelor of Science degree.

Walter Michel reports to Jeremy Scoggins, Head of Development & Engineering. They are on a team with Ryan McBride - DevOps Engineer, Heather Hartley - Frontend Developer, and Vadym Karpych - QA Engineer.
