Jose Ramón Villalón has been working in software engineering since 2005. Jose Ramón's first job was as a Freelance Developer for Self Employed, where they created several projects, consulted in programming issues and SEO Plans for various clients. In 2007, they joined MA Web Group as a Software Developer and designed and implemented a series of services and applications for the Real Estate Industry of Puerto Rico. In 2012, they became the Technical Lead / Software Developer / DevOps for Quinetix Group and designed and implemented two web applications related to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. That same year, they also worked as a Software Developer for Digital Marketplace and designed and implemented a web based classifieds system for El Nuevo Diário. In 2014, they joined HoyosLabs as a Devops Engineer, where they were responsible for Second Tier support to debug customer issues, profiling and load testing of applications, and designing and submitting patches to the code for performance and interoperability issues. In 2015, they worked as an Instructor for Codetrotters Academy Coding Bootcamp, teaching ruby and web development classes. Jose Ramón also worked as a Software Developer for Line-of-Sight. In 2016, they joined MigoIQ as a Software Developer and designed and implemented the backend for a mobile application for in-store shopping assistance. In 2017, they became self-employed as a Software Developer. Most recently, in 2018, they joined Revvin (formerly MortgageHippo) as the Director of Engineering.
Jose Ramón Villalón received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Universidad de Puerto Rico between 1998 and 2005.
