Morton Arboretum
Vallari Talapatra serves as the Board Secretary for Wheaton Public Library since May 2019 and has been the President of Eco Scapes, Inc., where responsibilities include design management, installation, and sales since February 2000. Vallari also contributes to academia as an Adjunct Professor at the College of DuPage since July 2016, teaching Landscape Design 1 and Landscape Graphics, and has been an Instructor at The Morton Arboretum since July 1996, focusing on curriculum writing and public speaking. Previous teaching roles include an instructorship at Northwestern University from August 2004 to August 2006, involving curriculum development, teaching, and research. Vallari’s early career included work as a Landscape Designer at Eco Logic, A Div. of The Natural Garden, Inc. from January 1995 to January 2000 and an Architectural Intern at A. G. Krishna Menon & Associates from 1990 to 1991. Vallari holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi.
