David Marcelo Meléndez Vázquez del Mercado has held a variety of roles in the business and technology sectors since 2008. In 2008, they were a Project Manager at MEZ Marketing, where they were responsible for the ownership of new projects and the analysis and reengineering of internal processes for optimization and savings. In 2010, they moved to OrtoMez S.A. de C.V. as a Business Planner, where they were responsible for planning service strategy, creating, modeling, developing and implementing new projects. In 2011, they took on a role as a Business Analyst at ITESM - Tecnológico de Monterrey. In 2012, they moved to Innovasport as a D-Commerce Strategy & Technology Manager, where they were responsible for project management for omnichannel business solutions and innovation, SAP, business definition, strategy planning and implementation management, retail sector omnichannel strategy, and the coordination, creation and monitoring of operational indicators on the development of the B2C digital business unit. In 2016, they became a Co-Founder & Strategy Manager at Tribu hhh, where they were responsible for sales strategy management, project management, the creation of new business units and commercial channels, and the development and implementation of a “human-to-human” strategy in customer experience. In 2017, they became a Co-Founder and IT & Experience Manager at Bornmine, where they were responsible for the creation of experiences with a true human sense that lasted over time through an omnichannel business model centered on the person and supported by physical and digital media, the management of human talent and the manufacturing operation, and the supplier administration and control of financial statements, projections of expenses and income to achieve profitability and growth. In the same year, they also became a General Manager & Co-founder at Morwi Encoders, where they were responsible for the management, monitoring and projection of the financial statements (P&L) and results of the company, and the development and management of the commercial growth strategy as head of the organization's leadership team. In 2021, they became a General Manager & Co-founder at Morwi North America, where they were responsible for the management, monitoring and projection of the financial statements (P&L) and results of the company, and the development and management of the commercial growth strategy as head of the organization's leadership team.
David Marcelo Meléndez Vázquez del Mercado obtained their B.S. in Business Informatics, Information Technology from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2013. David Marcelo also holds two additional certifications: Logistics and Supply Chain Management from TecMilenio University (obtained in 2015) and ITIL Foundations V3 - Best Practices for Managing Information Technology from Loyalist - Certification Services (obtained in 2013).
