José Maase

José Maase has extensive work experience in design and industrial engineering. José started their career as a Stagiair at Ontwerpbureau Premsela Vonk in 1991. José then worked as a freelance designer under their own name, completing projects such as the implementation of their own graduation work in the new brand identity of Palthe Stomerijen and the creation of trend forecast books for Vroom en Dreesmann. In 1996, José became a Ruimtelijk vormgever and owner at FIFH, where they collaborated on temporary and permanent interior designs for various cultural festivals and exhibitions. In 2004, they joined Royal Mosa B.V. as an Industrial Designer and Project Leader, ultimately becoming Head of Design in 2016. José has also served as a Jury Member at Design Academy Eindhoven since 2015 and as a Guest Lecturer at Maastricht Academy of Architecture in 2015, teaching second-year students about ceramic building products and the restoration of historical buildings.

José Maase completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Man and Identity at Design Academy Eindhoven from 1988 to 1993. In 2007, they also pursued a basic ceramics course at Fontys Hogeschool Toegepaste Natuurwetenschappen Eindhoven. Prior to that, they attended Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts and Design for interior architecture from 1987 to 1988.

In their earlier years, José Maase attended Scholengemeenschap St Michiel Geleen from 1981 to 1987, although the field of study is unspecified.
