Derek Tan

Derek Tan has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and sectors. Derek started their career in the Singapore Armed Forces and served as a Dual Track Combat Officer in the Manpower/Human Resources department for 14 years. Following that, they worked at DBS Bank as an Operations Specialist and then moved on to Nomura Singapore Limited as a Human Resources Specialist. Derek then joined the Singapore Youth Olympics Games OC as the Head of Plans & City Operations. Derek later joined the Agency for Integrated Care in Singapore as a Senior Manager in Strategic Manpower Planning & Development. Moving on to MOH Holdings Pte Ltd, Derek held various roles such as Deputy Director, Assistant Director, and Senior Manager in HR Partnering and Talent Development departments. Derek eventually became the Director of HR and Talent Development. Derek currently holds the position of Chief of Manpower & Talent at the Agency for Integrated Care.

Derek Tan holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Executive MBA from the National University of Singapore, obtained between 2013 and 2014. Derek also has a Bachelor of Business Studies degree with a major in Financial Analysis and a minor in Marketing from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, earned from 2004 to 2007. Additionally, Derek has completed two certifications: IHRP - SP from the Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP) in 2018 and WSQ Certified HR Professional (Talent Management and Recruitment & Selection) from Human Capital Singapore in 2011. Derek's high school education was at St Andrew's Junior College from 1990 to 1991, although no degree or field of study information is available.
