Technical Engineering Manager - Electrical at Mosaic Manufacturing

Marlene Dunsmoor has over seven years of work experience. In 2021, they began working as an Electrical Engineer at Mosaic Manufacturing. In 2020, they were the Director of SparQ Studios at the Dunin-Deshpande Queen's Innovation Centre, where they managed all operations of the Makerspace, maintained complex equipment, regulated safety, and assisted startups with early stage prototyping. Marlene also served as a tech assistant to transition the DDQIC summer program online and attended speaker series about early stage startup business strategies. In 2019, they were a Peer Tutor at EngLinks and a Program Development Lead for APSC 100 Module 3 at Queen's University - Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science. In 2018, they worked as a Project Management Assistant at All-Weld Company Limited, where they analyzed, improved, and developed modules for the company’s existing Microsoft Access based Project Management system, and completed general administration tasks such as development of new Health and Safety Manuals, creation of Operating and Maintenance Manuals, creations of RFQ’s and purchasing of materials, and development of internal/external corporate communication skills. From 2013 to 2018, they were a Senior Dock Hand at Starport, where they were customer and client focused to ensure every experience at the Marina was enjoyable and memorable. Marlene was also entrusted with supervising store, dock, and marina property maintenance, and responsible for training new dock hand and store employees with many skills to continue the customer experience.

Marlene Dunsmoor attended Queen's University from 2017 to 2021, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering.
