Travis Nielsen

Travis has practiced public accounting since 1998. He works with a wide range of complex, large multinational public clients to address their accounting issues, including SEC filings and comment letters, debt restructurings, and stock compensation issues.

Travis works with private clients to prepare for their GAAP audits. He also advises clients on risk assessment, the resulting process/control documentation, and the corresponding tests of controls over the business processes.

Travis has been responsible for the implementation of SOX for more than 25 public clients and has taught numerous courses on SOX to Fortune 100 companies and many accounting firms.

Prior to joining Moss Adams, Travis was a cofounder of The Cadence Group, a risk management, compliance, process improvement, and internal audit consulting firm. Travis also worked at a Big Four firm in their assurance and business advisory services practice.
