John Buresh

John Buresh has extensive work experience in the environmental field, spanning over several decades. John started their career in 1986 as a Field Test Engineer at Interpoll Laboratories, where they conducted air emissions characterization and researched alternative fuels combustion. From 1989 to 2008, they worked as a Senior Environmental Scientist at the Metropolitan Council of the Twin Cities, contributing to various environmental projects. In 2006, they became the Principal Research Scientist and Owner of Stack Test Solutions, LLC, where they specialized in research and testing related to stack emissions. In 2008, they joined Xcel Energy as a Senior Environmental Analyst, managing the NSP Stack Testing program and serving as a stack testing expert for the company. Additionally, they were an Adjunct Professor at Sitting Bull College from 2010 to 2013, teaching courses on environmental toxicology and advising students on careers in air regulatory compliance. Most recently, they joined Mostardi Platt in 2022 as a Senior Consultant, utilizing their expertise in the field.

John Buresh completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Zoology from the University of North Dakota, where they studied from 1979 to 1983. Following this, they pursued their Masters of Public Health degree with a focus on Toxicology and Environmental Health from the University of Minnesota, from 1991 to 1996.
