Bruno Almeida

Bruno Almeida has a long and varied work experience. Bruno began their career in 2013 as a Computer Engineer Intern at LSI-TEC - LABORATÓRIO DE SISTEMAS INTEGRÁVEIS TECNOLÓGICO, where they developed an online learning platform to help students and teachers. In 2014, they became a Software Engineer Intern at BTG Pactual, where they automated the collection of the derivative rates and projection curves of the Energy Area and related markets, as well as developed an add-in for Excel for automatic calculation of PnL. Bruno then moved to GetNinjas in 2016, where they served as a Software Engineer - Backend, creating and refactoring several APIs used by the GetNinjas app. Bruno then became the Tech Lead - Data Science team, creating a template from scratch to keep simple and standardized the way to train and expose models in the production environment. Bruno also served as Solutions Architect, guiding their co-workers to make good tech decisions. In 2018, they joined Luizalabs as a Specialist Machine Learning Engineer, where they assumed a cross-functional role. Bruno designed a new architecture to change how the company dealt with geospatial data. Bruno then founded the Machine Learning Engineer team, hired the people, and designed the vision of the team and of the ML platform. Finally, in 2022, they joined MOSTLY AI as a Senior ML/AI Developer.

Bruno Almeida obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Engineering from Escola Politécnica da USP between 2012 and 2016, and a BE in Civil Engineering from the same institution between 2009 and 2011. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Machine Learning Engineer from Udacity in January 2020 and Machine Learning from Coursera in July 2019.
