Adam Sanders has a diverse work experience in the philanthropic sector. Adam started their career as a Development Intern at the University of California, San Francisco in 2006. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as a Grants Administrator at the Blue Shield of California Foundation, managing grant contracts and payments to various organizations. Adam then joined Bank of America as a Grants Manager and Senior Philanthropic Service Administrator, where they managed 75 Foundation clients and provided grants management services. In 2009, they briefly worked as a Consultant at the Blue Shield of California Foundation. From 2012 to 2021, Adam served as a Grants Manager at The Helmsley Charitable Trust, leading grantmaking system implementation and process improvement initiatives. Adam then joined the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation in 2021 as the Director of Grants Management and later became the Managing Director of Grants Management. In 2022, they joined the Council on Foundations as a Career Pathways Fellow, participating in a leadership development program. Throughout their career, Adam has demonstrated strong expertise in grants management, project leadership, and capacity building.
Adam Sanders has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from Miami University. Adam also holds a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree in Public and Nonprofit Management and Policy from New York University.
