Dan Friedman

Dan Friedman is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in political reporting and national security. Currently serving as a Foreign Influence and National Security Reporter for Mother Jones since June 2017, Dan previously worked as a freelance reporter for notable publications such as Fortune Magazine, The Trace, The Daily Dot, and Yahoo Politics from October 2015 to June 2017. Dan’s background includes roles as a Washington Correspondent for the New York Daily News, covering Congress and the White House from December 2012 to September 2015, and a Congressional Staff Writer for National Journal, focusing on Senate leadership and federal oversight from September 2007 to December 2012. Dan has also reported on federal bureaucracy at Federal Times and covered local news and Boston politics at Boston Courant. Dan holds a BA in Diplomatic History from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master's in International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
