Robert Buttermilch

Robert Buttermilch is an experienced video editor and assistant editor with a comprehensive background in scripted television and film editing. Currently serving as a Scripted Assistant Editor at Motion Picture Editors Guild since October 2019, Robert has contributed to projects for major networks and platforms including Starz, Apple+, Netflix, Hulu, and Paramount. With freelance experience since 2010, Robert has worked on a variety of short films and online content, as well as editing reels for actors and directors. Previous positions include staff editor at Herzog and Company, where Robert edited marketing featurettes and electronic press kits for major studios, and roles at Trailer Park and New Wave Entertainment, managing and leading teams of assistant editors. Robert holds an MFA in Editing from The American Film Institute and a BS in Communication from the State University of New York at Fredonia.
